Green Asia Forum was launched by Korea Green Foundation in 2012, as parts of the foundation’s continuous efforts to uphold the dream of Green Asia,
since its foundation 2002.
It was started in Asia as joint efforts of the winners of Goldman Environment Prize, called the Green Nobel in environmental sector, to join hands in
responding to environmental issues. As environmental issues know no national boarder, it takes a consolidated effort to respond and find solution
to the issues.
<The 4th Green Asia Forum> held in 2015 was held in the largest scale ever, under the theme of ‘Climate Change and Energy Transition in Asia’, with 20
environment experts from 13 countries, including 10 Goldman Environment Prize winners as well as experts both home and abroad, students, participants
from the governments and companies and citizens. The forum was attended by David Gordon, Executive Director of Goldman Environmental Foundation,
officials from the embassy of U.S. and U.K to Seoul and Ko Geon, Honorary Chairman and former Prime Minister. Choe Jae Chun, President of National
Institute of Ecology and Park Won Soon, Mayor of Seoul delivered key note speech and banquet greeting respectively.
