A voyage for the environment and peace of Asia

img

K-GF is running the Green Boat program to find alternative solutions to environmental, historical, and social issues that hinder harmony in the Asian region from an open perspective. The Peace & Green Boat started in 2005 is a program run in collaboration with PEACE BOAT, a representative Japanese NPO organization, and provides a platform for participants from both Korea and Japan to travel around Asia on the same boat, creating opportunities to understand each other and achieve harmony. From 2018, the ‘Green Boat,’ independently operated by K-GF, set sail to discuss environmental issues in greater depth.

Through 14 voyages until 2019, 12,681 citizens were able to experience nature more closely on the Green Boat and develop a new perspective on the environment and peace. Additionally, participants with diverse nationalities, ages and occupations had a special experience of forging friendships on the sea.

The Green Boat envisions a sustainable future of Asia and will continue to offer special voyages that allow participants to think over the global environment and peace.
