‘We Are the Green Future’ as Ford Conservation and Environmental Grants An environmental sponsorship program between Ford Korea and the K-Green Foundation

‘Ford Conservation and Environmental Grants’ is a program that supports individuals and organizations working to protect the domestic ecosystem and environment. With a view to its bolstered professionalism and fairness, the program has had as one of its co-hosts since 2019 the K-Green Foundation, South Korea’s first public service foundation specializing in the environment.

Judges comprised of environmental experts, including the secretary general of an environmental NGO, university professors in environmental science, and related public officials of Seoul City, select up to ten teams by focusing on practicality, dedication, originality, and sustainability. And the final selected teams will carry out environmental protection activities for approximately 3 months.

Participants engage in creative activities such as research and education for a sustainable future, campaigns to improve citizen awareness, and art and performance. And after the activity is over, they hold a ‘Ford Grants Night’ where they present the details of the activities and their impressions and share concerns and action methods for the future environment.

With the ten teams selected this year in 2023, forty teams have been selected to date. To support sustainable environmental activities, the program is being developed every year by expanding the topic with selected teams into various eco-friendly and social contribution activities.
