Easy;breathing Forest Easy;breathing Forest - Urban forest creation project to reduce fine dust

‘Easy;breathing Forest’ plants trees in fine dust concentration management areas, urban citizen parks, etc. and creates amenities for citizens so that those vulnerable to fine dust can enjoy easy breathing. The project has provided a rest area in the city that anyone can use by creating a rest area and a walking path made up of various trees, flowers, and sedges for the commercial space, and created a green space on a traffic island in the middle of the road with a lot of vehicle movement. In addition, it strives to convey the message of participation in environmental protection by not only creating green space, but also producing and installing sculptures symbolizing a clean earth using about 30,000 discarded plastic bottle caps.

The K-Green Foundation and Lotte Home Shopping have completed three forests in downtown Seoul to date, starting with an agreement ceremony with the Ministry of Environment in 2020. By 2025, we plan to create urban forests by continuously planting trees in areas with high concentrations of vulnerable groups, such as fine dust intensive management areas.
