Students, teachers and project staff celebrated the completion of a rainwater harvesting and utilization system at SMPN 112 Pejagalan, a junior high school, in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 18. It was built by the Korea Green Foundation and Lotte Department Store.

Adjacent to the sea, North Jakarta is prone to inundation and during floods, the electricity and water supply are frequently cut off. The newly installed facility can provide adequate clean water. Rainwater collected from the roof of the school building can be used for washing, and runoff flowing on the roof slopes can be separated to be used as drinking water. The Foundation will continue monitoring the facility and offer hygiene and health education to students and parents there.
