The Korea Green Foundation and Shinsung Solar Energy held the ceremony to declare the launch of “Sun Men Sun Women” solar energy campaign at the International Conference Hall on the 20th floor of Korea Press Center in Seoul from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on November 7.

The event was held to recruit 10,000 Korean members for the campaign which aims to provide free, environment-friendly small solar power generator kits to the world’s poorest regions, which lack access to electricity, in Southeast Asia, such as Myanmar.

The Foundation has conducted its projects to provide Southeast Asian countries with solar power lamps (first stage) since 2012 and solar power stations (second stage) since 2015. It plans to continue with the efforts this year with “Asia Solar Power Support Project” (third stage) in which the Foundation and Shinsung Solar Energy will provide small solar power generator kits.
