The 2030 Eco Forum of the Korea Green Foundation held a preview of Michael Moore’s latest documentary film, “Where to Invade Next,” at the National Assembly on September 7. The screening was held to explore ways to build a better society by looking into labor, environment and other issues faced by various countries. More than 300 people, including Speaker Chung Sye-kyun, the floor leaders of the three major parties, lawmakers and citizens, attended the screening in the main auditorium on the second floor of the National Assembly Members' Office Building from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. “The film has significant implications for Korean society, which confronts similar problems to the United States,” Foundation President Choi Yul said. “I hope this special preview for National Assembly members will provide an opportunity to stimulate discussions on the issues raised by the film and their solutions. |
