Green Letter Vol.71  (2021. Feb)
<Green Letter>, the Korea Green Foundation(KGF)'s English newsletter, will be republished from February 2021. It will deliver not only news about KGF's activities such as the hosting of “Seoul Eco Film Festival (SEFF)” but also the activities of local NGOs in Asia and the news of “EcoVillage” to create a sustainable village. We also plan to introduce global environmental news, so please stay tuned from now!

The Korea Green Foundation has begun preparing in full swing for the 18thSEFF to be held in June this year. A total of 2,677 films were submitted. The details for the selected line-up in the competition section and side events can be found at the official press conference in May and the festival's official website. 

“Eco village, a Sustainable Eco-friendly Village
established in Shan State, Myanmar”

Myanmar Eco village is a sustainable, eco-friendly village built in an ethnic minority village in Nyaungshwe Township, Shan State. Following the first project in Bangladesh, the Korea Green Foundation has been carrying out the Myanmar Eco village project with KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) and KMF (Kalyana Mitta Development Foundation) since 2019 to present.

To discuss the role of hydrogen economy for Korea to become a carbon-neutral society, KGF held the Green Hydrogen Forum’s inaugural ceremony on February 2nd with hydrogen specialized institutions led by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. We hope you will continue to pay attention to the green movement of the Green Hydrogen Forum.

KGF awarded ESG Awards to four companies of Korea that maintained top-level ESG management, fulfilling their responsibilities and roles as sustainable management companies and becoming exemplars for other companies. In addition, the first ESG Leadership Program will be held on March 25th.
